Welcome!

YES! You are the right page! I just have a new name! :) After realizing that I do more than just scrapbooking, I've decided to change the name and will be changing the look.. I'd do a whole new blog but I'd hate to have to start all over.
Here you will find scrapbooking ideas. There's a ton of older posts that used the Cricut, but lately I haven't been using it much and well, my sewing machine is gaining more miles by the day.

Word Books!

Here are two word books that I made!

Anna is cut out with Doodletype, and Max is Basecamp.
Both bound with my Bind it All

Altered Tin

Here is a tin that I altered for a prize on my Bingo Group! June was our Winner that month, and the theme was cards, with a bonus of an altered tin. So I decorated the tin, and filled it with the cards that the other members had sent in as their contribution to the prize pot.

Target $1 spot for the brads, the flowers were a gift and I can't remember what brand. The butterfly border was plain silver, and then I used my alcohol inks to color it.

This was cut from Walk in my Garden - the flower pot - and then embossed with "traffic jam" I then used Primas as the flowers.

This was a rustic metal piece that I found in my stash... I covered it in clear ink and poured clear embossing powder on it, and then I used my heat emobssing gun on it

And.. on a Sad Note :(

Mr. Willie has passed away. Willie was my friend's best friend. He's part Austrailian Shepard / Border Collie. He was adopted when he was about 2-3 years old, and has spend the last 5 years with his wonderful master. Willie loved taking walks in the park, going for Coffee at the Coffee Cat, and burying his toys in the pillows. He went to many different places including two trips to Colorado, and even stayed at the Hilton in Minneapolis.

On Sunday, January 10, 2010 was Willie's final day on Earth. His spine and stomach had masses of Cancer, and he was unable to move, eat, drink and do what he loved to do. He is awaiting at the Rainbow Bridge where his best friend, Beth, will join him in the future. As for now, he's enjoying his pain free life up in Heaven.

This is the card that I made for my friend.. Doggie was cut out with SCAL, and so were the wings. Wings embossed with D'vine swirl and highlighted with stickles.
Rest in Peace Willie. You are missed very much!!

Baby Card

Here's another baby Card... that I made for a friend and his wife. They had a Baby Girl on 1/13/10, and her name is Braelyn

Here's a few shots to show the 3D..

Baby Carriage from New Arrival, "Baby" cut with the Gypsy.

Copic Instructor Sally Lynn Joins Us February 6th Do Not Miss This!

Hi Everyone!! Here is some information on specific info regarding the upcoming day of classes, February 6th. Taking all three Classes (recommended) is $120. Each class individually is $40. You won't want to miss these workshops, especially if you are just learning your Copics, you can't ask for a better opportunity to learn them locally. Cindy will be finalizing which hotel we will be at this weekend but it will be near by (Suffolk County, Long Island). Registrations are very limited as she can only teach so many at one time. Please email Cindy S at Memory Making Crafts to confirm your registration.

Workshop Titles and Descriptions:
1. Copic Markers What How & WOW!
Saturday, February 6th, 2010 10:00am - noon

What is so special about Copic markers? These markers go way beyond coloring stamped images to multi-surface applications on cardstock, transparencies, fabric and more surfaces than you can imagine. Learn about the different styles of markers, and how the markers work, without the revealing brushstrokes so often associated with marker coloring. Unlock the secrets to choosing from the incredible 334 colors for blending and shading. Hands-on practice using four blending techniques that build upon each other and culminate with a three page handout that is yours to keep for reference and practice. An airbrushing demonstration will also be included as time allows. Class taught by Sally Lynn MacDonald, North American Certification Trainer and Design Team member for Copic Marker / Imagination International.

2. Clearly Capable™ Acrylic Album, featuring Copic airbrushing (Spring/Valentine Theme, cause we need a little sunshine! NOT pictured, picture is for illustration purposes only)

Saturday, February 6th, 2010 - 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Clear Acrylic products are all the rage and this class will show you how to not only cope with the design challenges of a clear surface - but how to make it SHINE. We'll expose the clear surface and show you how to maximize your supplies along with ways to embellish and enhance the surface with epoxies, ink and getting double-duty from your embellishments. Sally Lynn will make it clear and complete in simply no time at all with techniques that you can use on all your clear projects. This technique-packed workshop will focus on Copic Marker ink and airbrushing as well as Glimmer Mist and the many surfaces and techniques used to color with them. From layering colors on transparencies, to airbrushing on acrylic as well as coloring 'bling', epoxy stickers, flowers and chipboard, Sally Lynn will guide you through every surface to go way above and beyond stamped images to altering everything. NOTE: this class was taught at CHA-Summer in Orlando – and now available in a Spring/Valentine theme!

What to bring: Trimmer, scissors, Fabritac adhesive and your favorite dry adhesive. A Cropadile tool or hole punch is helpful.

3. Prima Card Buffet, Glimmer Mist, Copic and Spellbinders, Oh My!
Saturday, February 6th, 2010 – 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Join Sally Lynn as she puts on her apron and presents this delectable delight - 2 hours of creating as many cards as you can possibly get done with gorgeous papers, lace, flowers, and the 'buffet of Prima goodness'...all laid out complete with crystals, leaves, buttons, ribbon, bling and flowers in every color you can crEATe with! Glimmer Mist techniques will be covered in depth. Bring your own stamps to add extra helping of coloring with Copic Markers too with brand new product to be released at Winter CHA

Happy 2010!

Wishing everyone the best for 2010!
It's the start of a new year and a new decade, and I'm planning to make the best of it!!

I have a few Resolutions, lets see how well I can keep them...

Read a book that I have never read - in it's entirety. My SIL gave me a bible for Christmas (My request since I didn't have one) and that's what I have decided that I am going to read. I figured that will take me atleast 6 months...

Balance and keep balanced my checkbook (lol, the last entry in my registry is from March of 2009... Oops!)

Get atleast 100 cards made for the Bulbs to Blossom Sale in May

Scrap 100 pages

Use my page kits and pre made pages

Get caught up on my In Home Training for Work. I have over half of the courses done, and I want to finish the rest so that my picture can be in the monthly newsletter :) Oh, and I also will get a $50 jacket :)

I also want to do more posts, and well, it's been a while since I've posted any cut files, so I'm hoping to get a few more made.. just been kinda in a "slump" lately scrapbook wise... (oooh.. but see my next post.. I actually made something!)
